Michele is from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. She started a career as an entertainment agent after completing her degree at Appalachian State University in 1987. She worked for EastCoast Entertainment for 12 years and focused on booking talent for corporate and association events as well as producing large scale concerts for clients throughout the southeast. Tony Bennet, Dave Matthews, Outkast and Kathy Mattea were a few of the many artists she was privileged to work with. Planning company meetings became one of her secondary responsibilities at EastCoast and she joined MPI in 1997 to enhance her skills and to network with fellow suppliers and planners.
Michele switched over to full time event and meeting planning in 2002 when she accepted a position as an event coordinator with Tribble Creative Group in Charlotte. As part of a team of dedicated professionals she was responsible for producing events and meetings for a diverse client base.
In 2005 Michele fulfilled a long-time dream and relocated with her family back to her small hometown of Sturgills in the mountains of Ashe County North Carolina. Returning to the world of entertainment booking as well, she began a business collaboration with Doug Daniel, a dear friend and former colleague at EastCoast Entertainment. Once again a supplier, Michele will work with Doug's company Daniel Entertainment Group to provide quality entertainment and production services to her clients.
Michele has been an active member of MPI-CC and has served on the education and meeting planning committees. Her past board service includes a term as Meeting Planning Director followed by one as Editor of the chapter newsletter, The Blitz. She is currently VP of Administration for the chapter. |  |
