Marla is President/Owner of Innovative Meeting Resources, Inc. an Independent Meeting Planning, Management and Consulting firm located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Entering the meetings industry over 31 years ago, Marla began her career as a supplier working in Sales and Operations for Hilton and Marriott Hotels. A planner for the last 21 years, she has effectively produced and managed meetings for both Association and Corporate clients.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Marla earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from (LSU) Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential in 1996.
An active MPI Carolinas Chapter member for 15 years, Marla has served her chapter as Director of Education, Director of Awards, MPI-CC Secretary, Silent Auction Co-Chair, VP of Communications, VP of Membership, and President-Elect. In May 2003 she was named MPI-CCs “Planner of the Year”. |  |
