Lisa is the Regional Director of Business Development for the Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, NC.

After graduating from East Carolina University in 2004 with a BS in Hospitality Management, she began her career as a supplier at the Greenville Convention Center as the Convention Sales and Services Manager. Realizing that hospitality sales was her true calling, she ventured out to gain industry and sales experience, by taking a position as assistant general manager/director of sales for an extended stay hotel, but missed the event side of the industry. She returned to the Greenville Convention Center Campus in 2006 as a sales manager at the Hilton Greenville before being promoted to Regional Sales Manager at the Greenville Convention Center in 2008, and then to Regional Director of Business Development in 2011.

In her role at the Greenville Convention Center, she works to bring conferences and events from around the nation to Greenville. She collaborates with hotels, the Greenville-Pitt County Convention and Visitors Bureau and other venues to fulfill group meeting space, guest room, and convention service needs. She combines strategic sales techniques with industry experience to target potential clients and secure business. She also educates our local citizens about the benefits that conferences and conventions bring to the local economy and encourages them to make recommendations to the groups that they are active in to bring their events to Greenville.

Lisa has been a member of MPI Carolinas Chapter since January of 2008 and has served on the Meeting Planning Committee and Education Committee. Lisa received the Meeting Professionals International – Carolinas Chapter “Tomorrows Leader Award” in 2010-2011. Over the past years, she has also been an Ambassador for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, a committee member for NC Society of Government Meeting Professionals and Association Executives of NC, President of the Greenville Business and Professional Women’s Network, and Secretary for the Greenville Noon Rotary. In 2011, she will begin a term on the East Carolina University Department of Hospitality Management’s “Emerging Leaders Board”. She earned her Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) credential in 2007 and is working towards her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).
