Directors

Kathy Norris is a West Virginia native who moved to Raleigh in 1990. She worked as customer service manager for two companies, event planner for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and for six years with The Olson Management Group as an association executive and meeting planner. Kathy worked as director of corporate events for Cardinal Travel Service and is currently a Meeting Planner with the Meetings Management Department of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina where she plans a variety of meetings and conferences.

Kathy is a former member of the Association Executives of North Carolina where she served as membership chair and on the board of directors. She has been invited to speak on meeting planning challenges by AENC, SGMP and the Triangle Dream Team of MPI-CC. Kathy earned the Duke University Certificate in Nonprofit Management in 2004 and her CMP credential in January 2005.
