Barbara has been with the Charlotte Marriott City Center for more than 7 years as Senior Sales Manager working with the Corporate Market and in the Charlotte hospitality industry for 11 years. Barbara's experience in the hospitality industry started when her parents owned a resort in Northern Minnesota as a teenager and to span over 20 years in hotel/resort operations, sales and marketing in the U.S. and Canada with Hotel Sofitel, Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Convention Center, Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe and Summer Resort in Minnesota, independent all-suite hotel.
She has been involved in Meeting Professional International Carolinas Chapter for 7 years and has been active as chairperson for Hospitality Committee, Chairperson for Awards Committee, Director of Fundraising, Director of PR/Marketing and Charlotte Dream Team chairperson.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and to watch their two teenage children play sports and spending time on the boat in the summer. |  |
