“Christian Schroeder grew up on his parents’ farm in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He attended Appalachian State University and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration double majoring in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Finance & Banking. After graduation, Christian relocated to Myrtle Beach where he started working the front desk at the Wyndham Myrtle Beach which later became the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort in 2003. Christian spent the first few years in hotel operations as a Night Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager at Hilton. In 2005, Christian became a Sales Manager for the Hilton Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation condos & villas, and the Embassy Suites. In October 2010, Christian had the opportunity to join the Visit Winston-Salem team as the Director of Sales & Services. Christian enjoys promoting the central location, arts, history, and all of the hospitality partners in Forsyth County.
Christian has enjoyed being a part of MPI since he attended his first meeting which was the September 2006 golf tournament. During his time as a member of MPI, Christian has been involved with the golf/bingo, silent auction, tradeshow, and meeting planning committees. He is married to Rachel, and they have a son, Brandon (age 4) and daughter, Meredith (age 2). In his free time, Christian enjoys spending time with his wonderful family and friends, playing and watching sports, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.” |  |
