Committee responsibilities and goals:

MPI-CC offers an unparalleled educational experience for professionals in the meeting industry. Our programs will give you ideas on the most innovative resources and best practices to revitalize your skills and career. Now more than ever, our members and meeting professionals are encouraged to come together to gain knowledge and share experiences to stay on the edge of what's happening in our industry.

The Education Committee is responsible for planning, scheduling and implementing the education sessions for each bi-monthly meeting. The Education Committee makes all the arrangements for the Nuts and Bolts session, the main Education session, the CMP study session and Continuing Education at each meeting.

Speakers are chosen to meet the needs of the members and exceed the education requirements of MPI International. Every speaker meets the eligibility requirements for attending members to earn Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits, which are needed for many industry certifications.

The goals of the Education Committee include increasing attendance at each meeting and ensuring the speakers met the member's needs as measured by the post-meeting survey scores.

The Professional Certification Committee presents targeted educational programs aimed at CMP topics during the bi-monthly meetings, CMP Retention Sessions, and CMP Informational Sessions. The committee's aim is to increase the number of members studying for and attaining the CMP, CMM, or CHME certifications. It forms study groups and retreats and posts information about the certification opportunities. Click here.
