Runners get ready, walkers and sleepers too!

Hello MPI-CC, my name is Sam Gardner and as your newly elected Director of Marketing I wanted to update you on our new Community outreach program. As you know not only do we seek to raise money for our Scholarship program each year, we also reach out to our community to help with specific outreach programs. This year we have decided to help with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The letter below from our Community Outreach Committee Chair, Michele Sawka explains it best.

"Join MPI Carolinas Chapter in supporting the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Charlotte! The date of the race is Saturday, October 1 in uptown Charlotte, and there are many ways to participate…of course friends and family (including children) are welcome too. You can challenge yourself in the 5K run/walk or just participate in the 1 mile run/walk and join “Team MPI Carolinas Racers for the Cure” led by Team Captain Michele Sawka, our chapter’s Community Outreach Committee Chair.

Unable to attend the race in person? You can still raise money for the Cure. If you register to Sleep In for the Cure before September 14, you will be mailed a comfy Race for the Cure t-shirt to snooze the day away in.

Another way to support this worthy charity is to donate to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and support Team MPI Carolinas. Your gift will save the lives of many in their fight against breast cancer and support the work towards finding a cure.
